The End of the Year

I am honestly so excited for the end of this year! Not because it has been awful by no means, in all honesty this is turning out to be one of the better years of my life, but because there are so many exciting things waiting at the end of the year! People always say “don’t wish your life away” and in a sense I agree. This year has gone so fast and I honestly hope next year is a bit slower. But when there are so many exciting things for you to look forward to, why wouldn’t you want them to come quicker!

One of my first causes of excitement is the holidays that are coming up. I love Christmas and Halloween! Halloween is honestly one of my favourite parts of the year. The decorations, getting to dress up as whatever you want to be, people decorating their houses, all of the scary movies that play and sweets! I love to decorate my house and get fully into the spirit. From scented candles to bath bombs to little table decorations I honestly love to go shopping and just go all out! The dressing up part is an extra bonus. When you reach that age where you can no longer trick-or-treat without looking like a total weirdo, going out to fancy dress parties is an absolute ball. Whether they’re scary costumes, celebrities copies or any other person you want to embody for a night you get to go all out! I am totally expecting to see a bunch of Suicide Squad costumes this year as well. Along with the costumes comes all of the sweets that you can bulk buy and not feel guilty. My dentist cries but I love to eat so much candy around this time of the year (and not feel guilty because you’re celebrating). It’s even better when they have the jumbo packs to “share”. I generally share them between me, myself and I.

Christmas is probably my favourite time of the year. I think the build up from the first of December definitely helps as well but honestly, the spirit that is around at Christmas time is *be prepared to cringe* magical. Much like Halloween I go all out and get the decorations and the seasonal beauty products, soaps and bath bombs. I also love buying presents for everyone. I honestly get more excited when they open my gifts to see if they like them than I am to open mine! Wow that sounds ungrateful…I didn’t mean it like that! Only that I love giving people presents that they enjoy rather than worrying about my own!! Just sitting there on Christmas Eve watching carols, singing along with your family, the Christmas tree shining bright in the corner as you snack on tea and biscuits gives off the best feeling ever.

Also at the end of this year I have a holiday planned! So obviously I can’t wait for that to arrive but I also want to delay it for a bit longer because the sooner it comes, the sooner it will be over. I also have a girls trip away planned so that shall be exciting!

So if you have finished reading everything thank you for letting me rave on about how excited I am! You could even turn it into a drinking game and read it again whilst taking a shot every time I say the words “love”, I can guarantee you’ll be having trouble reading this last paragraph haha. Let me know about what plans you have for the end of this year! Doing anything exciting? What’s your favourite holiday? And if you don’t celebrate Christmas or Halloween what else do you get up to? Hope you all are having an amazing end of the year!!
